the perfect day (no really, it was)

today... ahh, it was good.

first, i showered, and the hot water was lovely.

then, i came out of the shower to find the boy i was going to have lunch with hanging outside my door. i had my RA/friend entertain him while i pulled on my brown corduroys and old grey Beatles t-shirt. rrrrrow, no?

when we left for lunch, i happened to check my mail box.... and guess whose older sister had sent her a package? me! and inside was a box with the cutest pair of earrings in the entire world. i heart you, Linds!

then lunch was awesome... although i don't think we ever actually ate. instead, we sat around talking for awhile, then went and rented/watched "Dirty Harry". haha! amazing.

and to top it all off? they were serving STUFFING in the dorm food hall! oh my heavens, carbohydratey goodness. it was incredible.

overall? i'd say this day was excellent. and now, i am going to go to sleep... and dream of stuffing saying " ' do i feel lucky today? well, do you, punk?' "

funny story from work today (well, yesterday):

sitting in the office after a depressing meal of dormness, my supervisor got a call over the radio.

"College 96, just received a report of a nude male walking past -Building X- heading towards the middle of campus."

oh boy. yup. nekkid man walking around down by the student union building. when my super and i walked in to talk to him, as soon as we opened the door we were greeted with the sight of this 40-something hairy naked guy bending over reading a low-posted bulletin.

gahhh

then when the super addressed the man, he walked up to us and stood just a liiiiittle too close. the two clothed folk (one of which being myself) stepped back from the nudey dudey. it was weird.

i don't remember exactly what was said in the short conversation, but the guy kept looking at me really creepy. yuck.

about two minutes after he walked away, we heard a call come over the radio for a different PD unit... something about a "nude male causing a disturbance" just off campus...

insomnia, how i hate thee....

i'm morbidly tempted to get "insomniac" tattooed on my person somewhere... but ha ha, it's already permanently displayed under my eyes.

first day of classes... well, class. haha. yeah, i've got one class from 2 pm - 4 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. Tuesdays and Thursdays, i have a 10 am - 12 pm class, and a 2 pm - 4 pm class. it's fairly joyous.

oh but wait- i work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights now. 5 pm - 12 am on Monday and Tuesday, and 5 pm - 11 pm on Wednesday. actually, the "7-7-6" shift (in reference to the number of hours worked) might become a "6-7-7" or a "7-6-7", depending on what works best.

blah. gag. ok.
